The Karos UID Checker for SAP makes it possible to automatically check the UID numbers of business partners (creditors and debtors) via a web service and to save the qualified check result in the respective master data. For this purpose, the data is retrieved directly from the European Union’s VIES service. In Germany, however, §18e.1 of the Value Added Tax Application Decree stipulates that the VAT ID numbers of foreign business partners must be checked using the web service of the Federal Central Tax Office. With the new version of the Karos UID Check for SAP, this query is now also available.
